Not a lot has changed when it comes to the design of the iconic shoe. With clean lines and color blocking and a high top, this sneaker has appeared in countless colorways and has remained relevant more than 35 years of its introduction. The Air Jordan 1 silhouette is undoubtedly one of the most popular ones to ever come out of the Nike collection. The copper brown overlays present on the shoe have a distinct shiny finish to them, giving the sneaker a metallic look. If you look for the word Patina, it stands for the green or brown film that builds upon the surface of metals after a long period of oxidation, and that’s where the Air Jordan 1 Patina gets its name from. It is covered by a flat black outsole, keeping the original silhouette of the Air Jordan 1 and giving the shoe a new look in a historically popular shape. The midsole also features visible external stitching that runs across the length of the entire shoe. Zigzag stitches also appear on this label in white, giving it a flashy finish.Īnother color that appears on the sneaker is white, which you can see on the midsole. When it comes to branding, a black Air Jordan logo is embossed on the lateral side of the shoe on the grey ankle overlay, while the top of the tongue features a stitched black label with the Nike Air logo and the Swoosh in green color. The shoe also has grey suede overlays present on the ankles on both sides and on the heel counter at the back. On top of this, shiny copper-colored overlays appear around the toe box, on both sides of the lace structure, and on the Nike Swooshes on both the medial and lateral sides of the shoe.
